Peanut Butter Bar thinking

I'm not exactly sure why I was awake at 3 am.... half sleep half awake.... thinking

Maybe it was that I made an ate Peanut Butter bars last night!  It was a recipe I collect years ago.  We had these Peanut Butter Bars at school growing up at the Cafeteria.  They were  either 5 or 10 cents a bar ...  and a small carton of   milk was 6 cents.... ahhhhh "the good ol days".

I realized that I had NO protein yesterday in my diet and I think that's why I was craving some "nuts".  I've been not eating hardly any meats.... Some Chicken and Turkey... Some Fish... but rarely "meats".  No special reason.  It's just I've noticed that since I honed in on eating more vegetables and fruits and whole grains.... I've not had a desire to eat red meats or pork.  Bacon and Sausage is consciously OUT of my list of healthy foods.

Back to what I was thinking when I woke.... and I can't get it out of my mind

Why was a thinking about the show "Glee"?   I've never seen a whole episode, don't even know really what it's about.  Go figure, it was the peanuts!

But I do know that I also was thinking about how we ask God for answer, miracles.... and when he brings us the answer we then seem to forget what and why we asked what we asked for when our plans seem out of wack.

The thoughts then came to me  about the Children of Israel.   Their prayers were answered  - God freed them from Slavery and took them out of the land of Egypt.

Then I saw them in the desert.  There were apparently thousands.... (what a group to move).  Talk about a very very long family reunion.... Yikes...

But, there they were out in the desert on their "way to the promise land"
They had no way to run to a CostCo for food.... No  Arrowhead Water Delivery in the Desert...

They HAD to depend on "miracles" every day to keep them alive.  God Provided!

 Exodus 16

21 Each morning everyone gathered as much as they needed, and when the sun grew hot, it melted away. 22 On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much—two omers  for each person—and the leaders of the community came and reported this to Moses. 23 He said to them, “This is what the LORD commanded: ‘Tomorrow is to be a day of sabbath rest, a holy sabbath to the LORD. So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and keep it until morning.’”
24 So they saved it until morning, as Moses commanded, and it did not stink or get maggots in it. 25 “Eat it today,” Moses said, “because today is a sabbath to the LORD. You will not find any of it on the ground today. 26 Six days you are to gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any.”
27 Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none. 28 Then the LORD said to Moses, “How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions? 29 Bear in mind that the LORD has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where they are on the seventh day; no one is to go out.” 30 So the people rested on the seventh day.
31 The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey.

I was thinking about how GOD continually provided for His People.  MIRACLES!
Ok, so he sent  Manna not a certificate to  Morton's Steak House.

He Met Their NEEDS!

I  then was thinking about how today GOD provides for us... He Meets our NEEDS ... and sometimes our  even Wants. Yet.... we want to not rely on Him but on ourselves... then...

We're anxious.... stressed out.... worried....

All things that DRAIN our HEALTH

Although I'm awake at (now 5am)  I need to R E S T in HIM and his Mercy, His Love, His Care.

I don't know his plan's for tomorrow but I know that all the plans I have for tomorrow Include HIM.  And if my life takes a few turns on the road I've planned out... it'll be Great because HE IS WITH ME!

Now,   I will go back to bed then wake up with a smile and a prayer that today
I will MAKE CHOICES that produce a Fantastic Day!

REMINDER:  Balanced foods for my body, mind and spirit
Exercise my body, mind and spirit

My prayer is that God supplies "all my needs" and  all my wants will be framed within HIS WILL for me.

No more wanting to bake "peanut Butter bars" !   LOL

Salute! To your Health and Wellness
