Go "Balance yourself" or GO "Blog yourself"

WOW
It was in April 2009  that I began Blogging FOUR YEARS AGO!   So Surprised! 4 years !!!!

 It has evolved into more than just a place where I can 
"talk to myself" (although I still "freak'uently" do)




This "blogging thing" that  I love  is my  self examination and  discovery of the following:

True Health and Wellness 

is obtained when we seek Balance


jesus

 Balance  is when we daily!

    Feed  & Exercise

our 

Spirit,  Mind & Body


SO, 
Stop and take a deep Breath and then  Exam the condition 
      of your Body, Mind and Spirit!

"The Unexamined Life is Not Worth Living"


Some of What I have discovered during my blogging and seeking truth is the following:

  • Being overweight is a symptom of an unbalanced life 
  • 80% of illness are rooted in an unbalanced life
  •  Animals are ruled by instintHumans are ruled by habits
  • Habits are a product of our choices  and can be changed ! 
  • THE war we face is within ourself 
  • When we treat ourself with respect we can win the war 
  • Our body is a temple and needs our respect  
  • Our Spirit is often neglected and overlooked

Now.... GO     " Balance"    yourself !

Oops Not done...

A scientific study  took female rats and divided them into two groups.  It was discovered that rats who exercised  choose the  healthier food when give a choice.  The rats who "were allowed to live a sedentary lifestyle"  choose the high fat foods.   http://ajpregu.physiology.org/content/260/3/R518.short

Ah, Confucius says: 
We are better than rats (right?) 

Don't you see.... when you exercise it signals a message to your brain (chemical reaction takes place)  and YOU will make healthier choices in what you put in your mouth! 
     SO.... Make the Choice to Respect and Balance yourself

How to Lose 10 Pounds in a Month – The Diet

Your nutrition is going to have the biggest impact on reaching your goals. Here are your dietary guidelines:
  • Drink at least 1 gallon of water a day (drink a full glass of water upon waking)  FLUSH IT OUT!
  • No cheat meals – You can make it 30 days without eating bad food
  • 6 meals per day spaced evenly every 2 hours (7 am  9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm)
  • Multi Vitamin, Fish Oil, Kyo Green/EmergenC, Pumpkin see oil, GinkoBiloba 
  • 10-12 times your body weight in calories (example:  150 lbs x 10 = 1,500 Calories)
  • SHOOT for  30-35 grams of fiber a day
  • STICK to 200 Calories at each meal (6 a day x 200 Calories = 1200) 
  • Eat green veggies or other low carb, high fiber veggies at every meal

 Exercise one hour a day or be dead 24 hours a day?"

EXERCISE:
 Before each meal:
5 minutes of "whatever"  Squats, Jumping Jacks, Walking Stairs, Push ups, 
5 X 6 = 30 minutes a Day

30 minutes walking after  Lunch and 30 minutes after Dinner Time  = 1 hour

Foods to STICK With the FIRST WEEK:
each meal has  5 grams of Fiber!
each meal is  around 200 Calories

Example:
Breakfast:  Oatmeal with Organic Nut Butter 
High Fiber  Snack   Blueberries 
Lunch: Tuna with Lemon - Tomato  
High FIber   Snack  Strawberries
Dinner: Chicken Breast and Spinach 
High Fiber   Snack 

NOTE:
Most fiber is classified as soluble (meaning that it partially dissolves in water) or insoluble (meaning that it resists digestion and does not dissolve in water).
Soluble fiber is found in beans, peas, lentils, oatmeal, oat bran, nuts, seeds, psyllium, apples, pears, strawberries, and blueberries. Soluble fiber is associated with lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol, regulating blood sugar, and a lower risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
Insoluble fiber is found in whole grains, barley, couscous, brown rice, bulgur, wheat bran, nuts, seeds, carrots, cucumbers, zucchini, celery, green beans, dark leafy vegetables, raisins, nuts, grapes, and tomatoes. Grandma called it roughage, and one of the benefits of insoluble fiber is that it helps keep you regular, prevents constipation, and reduces the risk of diverticular disease.
Total fiber intake of both kinds, studies show, can lower risk of coronary disease, metabolic syndrome, and obesity.
Foods high in fiber can also make you feel full longer and curb overeating. High-fiber foods are filling; they require more chewing and stay longer in your stomach, absorbing water, and helping you feel full.


Who are you  really kidding?   BE KIND TO YOUR KNEES!   Loose the Weight !  

It is sad, annoying and pathetic to see the damage to knees these days.....  
WHY do I say that? Because, Packing on an extra 25 lbs isn't nice to your knees!

Emoticons are people too or Faceless Conversations

Watching a Movie the other day (Letter's to Juliet) LOVE this MOVIE! 





I felt excitement
I felt Joy
I felt Frustration
I felt pain
I felt Happy

I laughed and I cried

Since I was sitting on a plane.... I was attempting to conceal all these emotions 
(except.....  I  do think it's great to laugh out loud.... as if no one is watching)

It then was a "ah ha" moment. Heaven is a place with NO sadness or Sorrow...  But how could you really know you are experiencing Joy without ever knowing Sadness?  Hummmm

RIGHT...  Hey what about those Beatitudes  in the Bible (Matthew Chapter 5)

"BE ATTITUDE's"  is about  all about our Attitude.  




And OUR ATTITUDE 

is seated in our EMOTION

(dance around this thinking with me... ok?)


SO THEN  OUR EMOTIONS are .... our a result of  EXPERIENCES

How could you ever know  true Joy unless you  experienced Sorrow?

How could you ever know  true  Happiness unless you experienced  Sadness?

How could you ever know  true  Love unless......  you experienced  Loneliness?




Our life from Birth is a symphony of EMOTIONS!  
We are an emotional "people" 
we are HUMAN  
We are Fragile 
"We are"

BUT HE IS THE GREAT 
"I AM"


 ahh ha moment:   
WE need to KNOW Sadness, Sorrow, Loneliness
so we can Truly know
Joy, Happiness, Love





No wonder we now find the need to 

EXPRESS and CONVEY our Emotions 

in our Faceless conversation!!






We are a People created like our Creator..... Created In his Image
Throughout the Bible God Clearly shows us he is a God who is a loving God, but also
demonstrates his Anger (at Sin).  He is a compassionate God.  

Do you know the Story in the bible when Jesus wept when he was told his friend Lazarus was dyeing?  John 11:35

We are EMOTIONAL PEOPLE because We were Created by an Emotional GOD
GOD IS LOVE!

AND.....    Our "HEALTH" is absolutely needing
             OUR awareness of 
                             OUR "Emotional State" of Being.

When you "sing" unto the Lord... SING praises and words of a Thankful
Heart

for What he has done (attitude)


PRESCRIPTION:   SING a Happy Song  out loud  t.i.d. 
(t.i.d:  Three times a Day)

seriously... SING OUTLOUD!  It will drown out any 
negative emotions
It will change our Breathing Pattern
It will affect your Heart Beat
It will transform your State of Being
(ya know I'm talking about singing a HAPPY SONG)







Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; 
meditate on and talk of all 
His wondrous works and devoutly praise them!

Get in Sync or TURN UP THE MUSIC

The Rhythm of Life 


The expression of being "out of Sync" comes to my mind when I thought about the importance of  Rhythm in one's life.  When I think about how I love to have Music surrounding me.  If I could live life as if I were in a Musical... Ah, that would be the best!  

Can you imagine if you could just break out in a song in the middle of the store and everyone started to sing along!  (yikes, I'm exposing my "Pazzo" self)

Hey.....  Feel the Rhythm by Turning up the Music! 
   "Up" Beat and "Up" Lifting Music

 Are you Out of Sync?

You'll know if you're " out of sync "  if you evaluate the following:

How are your sleeping habits?

How about your eating choices? Craving Sweets or Carbs?

Emotionally, do you anger easily? OR have feelings of hopeless, sadness or apathy towards life?

How is your energy level?

Relationships are good or strained?






Being in Sync can help you to not just cope with life but.... 
live life
with zest, joy and excitement

Being in Sync is about  "being healthy" 


A Prescription for Sadness:

Rx: Dance and Sing qd x life

( Rx = Prescription
qd = every day)



Let's start at the Beginning to figure out  "what  the heck I'm talking about"

and I mean "The Beginning"!

In utero  a person develops and grows in a Rhythmic environment
The very Heart Beat of the Mother who is carrying  the unborn person creates this.

Then the Tiny Little Person is comforted by the rhythmic rocking as they are held  in the mothers arms which are then close  to the mother's Heart.

Wow, think about it: What a Beautiful design God made.
We Cradle in our arms to keeps  the baby close to our Heart. They can feel our Breathing (Rhythm) and feel our Heart Beating (Rhythm).

And when being Breast Feeding, the little person can feel and possibly hear the Heart beat and Breathing  of their Mother. It's instinctual that a mother  to hold and rock her baby. .... "Rhythm"!

AND Singing while holding a baby to bring them comfort accomplishes many things.

Singing:  It controls and soothes the Mothers breathing 
(music calms the Mom which benefits the process of breast feeding)  
The musical tones and rhythms of singing  then calm the baby....
                    (oh, I need to publish a paper on this....)

ANYWAY
Guess you can read that I believe a persons life begins the moment the miracle of conception takes place.  The very design of their being occurs when the cells begin to divide and multiply and at the nanno second  of conception (sperm meets ovum)   the DNA the "map" of "Who a person is" has been determined.  

Guess you can read I believe that Breast Feeding is not only  the most natural way to feed a newborn, but the most healthy start of any persons life not just for the nutrition of the breast milk but the attachment and bonding during the process.  Nine months in utero needs to be followed with at least  9 months of being close in their mothers arms!   (yes,  there are exceptions where this can not take place, but it should be the except not a  just a lifestyle choice).

I don't want to take the time right now to discuss the way 
our body' has a  "Circadian Rhythm"  

Definition:  circadian rhythm is any biological process that displays an endogenous, entrainable oscillation of about 24 hours.


AND...... What about when a 

Heart is 

"Off Rhythm"? (not a good thing)

     That is Called: ARRHYTHMIA

  listening to MUSIC!

Singing and Dancing
are like  eating  
Fresh Organic Fruits and Vegetables each day!

Listening, Singing and Dancing to Music feeds the Soul and Body.  
The Rhythm of  music "helps" put yourself into a RHYTHM.  
The Rhythm that every Cell in your body moves and flourishes with,  since conception.

Why do you think that when you come to "worship" at Church there is 
Music, song... Singing before the Sermon starts?

Why?  It's because it's known to Center one's thoughts and prepare ones
Heart to HEAR and become OPEN to the Pastors Teachings. 

Music Free's your SOUL ...  Music Heals and Nourishes your Being

All of this to say today.  

It is a Healthy Choice to  WAKE UP and 
TURN UP THE MUSIC.  
SING out loud, Dance around the house..... 

LIVE People, LIVE !!!   

 Get in Sync with how you were designed.   
To live life in FULLNESS and with JOY.  

THINK ABOUT THIS:  Our Creator filled this world with motion and rhythm.  Stop and listen sometimes to nature.  Even the wind blowing through the Trees, the rhythm of the waves on the shore ... ahhhhh

Dance, Sing..... Wake up 

GET IN SYNC with Music 
                     by Listening, Singing and Dancing
(every cell in your body will appreciate it)

Why New Years Resolutions Fail

How to keep focus


Are you ADD?   Golly Ghee WHIZ  dumb question right?

                             However, do YOU HAVE  an ATTENTION DEFICIT ?  

Meaning, do you keep  "focus" on your GOAL?



  What will your "GOALS" be for 2013?


Now the BIG question, 
what happened to 2012 
New Year's Resolutions (goals)?



Let's do this.

Take a look a the habit you have when you wake in the morning.
Let's say it's a work day.  Do you do the same thing each morning you wake, in the same pattern?  

HABIT:   A recurrent, often unconscious pattern of behavior that is acquired through frequent repetition.

Stop and Think about this.


YOU want to set Goals

YOU  need to keep your F O C U S on those GOALS

"True Success"  can not take place until you take a hard honest look at your

H A B I T S that inhibit your focus 

and 

interfere in reaching your goals.  

So THEN,    you're not really a person with ADD, you just have developed habits that over rule your ability to change your focus  and achieve your goals.

Measure that Waist line!     

So before you start the "NEW YEARS RESOLUTION" 
 sit  facing a  corner and have a talk with YOU.

What is your eating and exercise habits!  (ouch that conversation may be painful) 

OH YA....How about the daily habit of  feeding and exercising your Spiritual Being?  
How much time and effort do you spent keeping your Spirit Healthy? 

Then have a come to Jesus talk with yourself before writing your "new years resolutions"
  
Discuss the Habits you have developed that grew from Laziness and Selfishness  of choosing to live an indulgent life of self pleasure and instant gratification. 


It Stinks!   But, we actually need the Therapist Couch and Jesus as our Therapist to figure out why we fail.   It starts with being honest with what is the TRUE DESIRE of our Heart!

Is our Focus and Goals to Please the Lord and care for his Temple
 or
Please our Carnal Nature of Self Pleasure?


1 Samuel 16:7

For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance,
 but the Lord looks on the heart.”

Every year we make New Years Resolutions!  

And they are the Same STINKING resolutions!
