Eating Pretzel M&M's...Yummy

When it comes to weight loss the issue is ......

YOU can NOT SEE IMMEDIATE RESULTS OF YOUR  Choice !

So, when you stuff your face with chocolate covered Pretzel M&M's and eat a whole bag of Mindt Milano Cookies..... saying "It's ok.....   I'm just going to treat myself this weekend"

Who will you scream at when you step on the scale on Monday Morning?

self-indulgence and self-gratification is an ugly thing

I've always wondered why it's such a tremendous struggle to lose weight
I'm perplexed why having the  knowledge of how to lose weight isn't enough
I'm baffled why it's a daily struggle when we know what to do  and we do not do it

Matthew 26:40-42

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation:
the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

This picture is "my" reminder that when I face a situation, choice, challenge
my  immediate action  WILL RESULT in a consequence
It also reminds me that the "Guide" who instructs me when, if  and how to paddle
needs to be the LORD

Jesus  is  my Guide  (I just forget to listen to him sometimes)

I truly, truly truly believe it's because we are NOT balanced
We fail to address   our SPIRITUAL BEING

We feed the flesh (treat ourself... indulge ourself.... gratify ourself)

This is part of our Nature.... to satisfy our flesh

I found this picture

How Perfect..... it's all about how we Think

Hummmm, let me "think" about that

So, if my thoughts were bathed in the word of God (TRUTH)
then my Actions would reflect my Thoughts
 and turn into HABITS
which then define my Character
that leads to my Destiny!

Hummmm,  I think I like that

Healthy choices, Healthy habits!!!

Then in order to become sucessful at "losing weight"

I need to SUBMERSE myself in Truthful thinking

Dog gone it... that's what I've been saying in my blogs for 2 years now.

Weight Loss Failure is because
we lack FEEDING the SPIRITUAL Being Truth

Matthew 26:40-42

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation:
the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

"Long term"  Weight Loss Success is when we change our thoughts about "food and exercise"

acknowledging the truth that our flesh is weak
we NEED to draw our strength from God's Truth

The end result of our thoughts

is  success or failure

the scripture verse that states "watch and pray" is to See temptation of self gratification as a sin (eating a bag of Pretzel M&M's)  and Praying is nothing less than our thinking spiritually with thoughts centered in truth .....

HUMMMMM,  that's a thought! I need to think more about this

Eat Fudge and Lose Weight or Clean your HOUSE

Are YA KIDDING ME!  How stupid are we to get suckered into lines like these "Eat and Loose".   It's work! Face the Truth.   Work has it's Rewards.... Laziness has consequences.  Trust me.... I'm not happy that I can't just "think myself thin" or "eat my way to the perfect weight"

I think (as I try to often do)  why is it such a struggle every day to maintain my health and weight?

The past two weeks I have been feeling sluggish, less then cheerful and menopausal.
I'm not happy that my past two years of blogging didn't seem to stick and  trying to re-invent myself seems like a past dream.  I'm still me!   Struggling. Still knowing what to do but not always doing it.

This morning the thought occurred to me that it's a lot like being a homemaker.

Every "stink in" day I have to wash dishes, do laundry, sweep floors.  Dang it!  It's a DAILY chore to maintain the home.

Ok, So..... dahhh, wake up call to me.  I have to stop living in "LALA land" and face the truth.  Even with my Prince Charming... I have to take care of the Castle!

YES, it's a daily chore to take care of my body, mind and spirit.
One day of neglect and it will catch up with me when I step  on the Scale!

It truly is  a lot like a neglected home, even for ONE DAY.... shhhhh  ya don't want to invite anyone over!

So, Smack my head and wake up and smell the coffee
Stop moaning about it and Get to Work

TRUTH: I have neglected the past two weeks and need to get back into the swing of things.  Get my grove back....

That is to get back on track with the following:

1. Pay attention to eating "healthy choices"
Which is: High fiber, Low Carbs and lots of fresh organic colorful foods!

2.  Drink WATER!   (I'm getting upset with myself because I fail to do what I know I am to do.... drink 80-120 oz of water a day

3. MOVE THAT BUTT..... yap!   Why is it I love to go on my walks and yet find excuses to not go?   Oh, the need for a lovely couch in  a psychiatrist office to detangle my brain.

Burn more calories than I eat
or
Eat less calories than I burn
Come on!  Ya don't need a physic's degree to figure this out

4. Really this is NUMBER ONE.... wake up every morning and Feed my Spirit
This mean:
a.  The moment my eye's open  .... Slap a big silly smile on my face (this really has psychological benefits when your brain get's the message from the muscles around your face that you are smiling.  The Brain says, Hey.... here is a message ... she's happy! So start sending out the Happy hormones and Chemicals to the body)
b.  Eat the Word of God which is life giving words of encouragement, guidance, strength and Joy for a successful day.  Hard to start the day without knowing WHY you should get up and what you need to accomplish for the day.  (Here to serve Him and prepare for eternity)

ok,  that's it

Time to blog again and get my groove back

If you are fat read this:

IF you believe you are Spirit, Mind and Body then why run from hearing about "spiritual truths"?

If you are Fat .... read on

Wisdom is a tree of life to those who eat her fruit;
happy is the man who keeps on eating it. Proverbs 3:18

Since I believe that we were created by God (Father of Jesus)
than why not read our "instruction manual"?

It has be a resounding thought in my mind  these past few months to .....

"FEED our SPIRIT" before feeding our face!

Eating out of discontent, frustration, boredom, unhappiness....

it's all about eating to satisfy
"something" inside us that just feels empty

it's all about "habits" we have developed

It's about instant "feelings of satisfaction"

When seeking to "eat something"... do you find your self  walking over to the Refrigerator and opening the door and staring like a deer in headlights?

ask yourself:

Am I hungry? (hunger pangs)
Or am I just wanting to satisfy something in me?

Then  Think....  "Lord, I need to Feed my soul before I feed my face".  This is a "spiritual battle within us!   We choose to feed carnal self before feeding our spiritual self.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary the one to the other; that ye may not do the things that ye would. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.
(Galatians 5:16, 17, 22, 23 ASV)

We have a learned   behavior to want to FILL it with "food".
a "quick" fix to our emotional being.

Developed a habit
of seeking to fill up on the word of God
instead of a carton of Ice Cream.

You will be satisfied and become whole and well!

My thought for today

I do best when "blogging" daily
What I mean is, it focuses me first thing in the morning and helps set the tone for the day.

so, here is today's blog:

I'm Italian and I LOVE BREAD!  Pasta, Pizza, Cannoli's!  Yes, ALL CARB DIET!

So so Sad because that will put on the weight quicker than slapping Lard on my Butt.

John 6:35

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life.
Whoever comes to me will never go hungry,
and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty

It has been resonating in my head!
FEED YOUR SPIRIT FIRST! BEFORE you feed your FAT FACE
You'll make wiser choices and have
self control when choosing what and when to eat!

There is another scripture that says"

Matthew 26:40-42

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation:
the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

God Knows that we "war against ourself"

The best weapon to defeat moments your tempted to shoval a piece of candy that you're co-worker has at work is to SPEAK POWER

Say it outloud!
Ye are of God, little children,
and have overcome them:
"because greater is he that is in you, ( say ME)
 than
he that is in the world."

So, Suite up for the day by Feeding the SPIRIT

before feeding the Face and

"He guarantee's  "You will be successful and On the Road to "health and wellness!"

Gotta Run (literally)
