SWEET! Day 5

Psalm 104

33I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. 34My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

There is a song we use to sing at Church "Turn your eye's upon Jesus"

O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s a light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!
Refrain
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
Refrain
His Word shall not fail you—He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!

Spiritual: Oh, Lord I pray today that my focus is on YOU! As I am tempted to not do what I know I should do, give me the strength through your promises. May I look Up when tempted to be lazy or choose unhealthy foods, and find strength in YOU. I acknowledge my strength lies in YOU. AMEN
Today, when I want to reach for a food that isn't a healthy choice, I will STOP, Look UP, take a deep breath and quote today's scripture (yes, I will memorize this scripture!). Then I will TRUST the Lords promises to give me strength to make healthy choices today

"My meditation of him shall be sweet" Psalms 33:34

I will be satisfied when I seek something sweet to eat as I look up & "meditate on HIM" and his promises.

Also, May I say I don't completely believe in "Detox Diets"
For more info on why I say this go to
www.webmd.com/diet/features/detox-diets-purging-myths?print=true

But the science behind the detox theory is deeply flawed, says Peter Pressman, MD, an internal medicine specialist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The body already has multiple systems in place--including the liver, kidneys, and gastrointestinal tract--that do a perfectly good job of eliminating toxins from the body within hours of consumption.

Yet, I do say that when we carelessly bombard our bodies with Processed foods, fried foods, Non nutritional foods (sweets, candies...) We really tax our bodies!

Any diet that encourages a BALANCE of fruits, vegetables and 64 oz of water a day is basically NOT a diet but a way of eating for Life.

It's not knowledge that most of us lack when it come to "Healthy Choices' but
it is wisdom. Seek the LORD to Satisfy us.

Physical: No excuses! Here is an exercise you can do at home or at work :)

Squats: Technique Tip

First, sit all the way down in the chair and stand back up. Next, don't sit all the way down; barely touch the chair's seat before standing back up. Lastly, graduate to doing squats without a chair.

Here's to a GREAT DAY!
Don't forget to:
SMILE
Drink water kissed by a lemon
15/15 /15
"Look up, take a deep breath and Speak HIS word"

Salute!
